Lore

Salubra's shop is located above the abandoned village at the bottom of the Forgotten Crossroads, near the Blue Lake. She is knowledgeable in the craft and use of Charms and eagerly shares them with others for Geo. She seems to be under the delusion that the village outside her house is still lively and is unaware of the Kingdom's demise. She is also very fond of the looks of the Knight.

In-game events

Accessing Salubra's shop requires defeating the Gruz Mother boss, and then at least acquiring the Mothwing Cloak or Mantis Claw, or Nail-bouncing on a Shade. Alternatively, she can be reached by crossing the Blue Lake in the Resting Grounds.

Salubra sells Charms and Notches but also shares tips on their use. After buying all of her Charm Notches and collecting all 40 Charms, she sells the Knight her Blessing for  800, which regenerates SOUL while resting at a Bench. Upon buying her Blessing, a cutscene plays where she leans in and kisses the Knight.

Additional dialogue Listening when owning 1 Charm or more Do you wear a lot of Charms at once? It's a lot of fun isn't it, mixing and matching them to get the perfect combination? I don't know whether you've noticed, but some Charms seem to like each other. Yes! Mmm! When Charms like each other, they shine even brighter and sing even more sweetly! Even more reason to try all sorts of fun and surprising combinations of Charms! Mmmmmmm! You'll show me whenever you have a new favourite, right? Listening when owning 6 Charms or more It's a bit of a sin to wear too many Charms at once, isn't it? Sometimes less is more! Mmmm! Yes, you shouldn't try to cram on more Charms than you can handle. The effect could be positively overwhelming! Listening when owning 12 Charms or more My dapper gadfly, would you care to know how charms are made? I don't often tell my customers, what with the truth being a little morbid. But you're a sharp one so you may have guessed already. Few ways a charm appears but mainly it's from final wish, sic a dying bug's potent desire crystallised into these gorgeous, powerful trinkets. Now don't go getting too sad. There are exceptions of course, and really, it's quite beautiful, makes them all the more precious. Mmhhmm. Just think of all the little bug souls that went into creating your collection! It's like a crowd of strangers in your pouch, or purse, or...err....wherever it is you keep them. Exhausted dialogue It's rare enough that someone enters my store, but even rarer to meet one so striking! Those impressive horns! That fierce weapon. The air of mystery! Ooooh. It's enough to make me swoon.

Location

Salubra's shop is located at the bottom of the Forgotten Crossroads. It can be accessed with the Mothwing Cloak or Mantis Claw, by Nail-bouncing on the Shade, or from the Blue Lake.

Trivia

• Salubra has cut dialogue where she recommends buying a Notch after a certain number of Charms have been obtained.
• In the Beneath and Beyond trailer, Salubra can be heard with a different, higher pitched voice.
• When obtaining Salubra's Blessing, a distorted version of the normal sound for getting Items and Abilities is played, similar to obtaining the Void Heart.
• In the release version of the game, Salubra's Blessing only required 36 charms. The Grimm Troupe increased the requirement to 40 as new Charms were added.
• Having half of Kingsoul does not count as a Charm and does not count towards any of the purchases from Salubra.
• When Divine has a Charm consumed, the number of Charms needed for purchases from Salubra is reduced by one.
• When Grimmchild is lost by banishing the Grimm Troupe, the number of Charms needed for purchases from Salubra is reduced by one. Obtaining Carefree Melody returns this lost Charm.
