Their plump, round shape makes them well-suited for target practice. Difficult to resist testing my aim on them...
Caranids are enemies in Hollow Knight: Silksong. They are weak fliers that are common throughout the lowlands of Pharloom.[1]
Behaviour and Tactics
Flies aimlessly and slowly until they spot Hornet, at which point they fly towards her at slow speed, trying to fly into her and deal 
on contact. If Hornet moves sufficiently far away or moves for long enough, they stop following her.
Act 3
Black-threaded Caranids have their health quadrupled. They gain one of the following attacks:
- Void Blades: The enemy explodes into a circle of blades.
- Void Tendrils: The enemy whips Void tendrils in Hornet's direction.
- Void Projectiles: The enemy launches 3 slightly arcing void projectiles in Hornet's direction.
- Void Drops: The enemy launches 3 arcing Void droplets to the left and right. Upon hitting the ground, each droplet then explodes into a smaller version of the Void Blades attack.

Location
Caranids can be mainly found throughout the Marrow, Deep Docks, and Far Fields. They can also appear in the upper portion of Bone Bottom as well as in the Memorium.
