Covetous Pilgrim

Is this abundance a sign of purity or greed? The way faith is measured in this land is curious indeed.

Covetous Pilgrims are enemies in Hollow Knight: Silksong. They are strong pilgrims holding an abudance of strung up Rosaries that they use as a whip.[2]
Behaviour and Tactics
Covetous Pilgrims do not naturally wander, and start out crouched and muttering to themselves. Once they notice Hornet, they yell and will now attack her when she is within range.
Covetous Pilgrims walk towards Hornet in between attacks, and have 4 moves:
- Charge: The Covetous Pilgrim charges towards Hornet, stopping once she is behind it or it hits a wall.
- Leaping Lash: Jumps towards Hornet, then lashes with its Rosary string in an overhead swing in front of itself as it lands, covering a large area. A Rosary may fly off the Covetous Pilgrim during the lash of this attack.
- String Flail: It spins its Rosary strings before whipping them ahead of and behind itself 3 times. Rosaries may fly off the Covetous Pilgrim during this attack.
- Retreat: Slides backwards a set distance, often used after missing an attack and when Hornet is close to it.

Another can be found at Shakra's former camp in Bilewater once Groal the Great has been defeated. The last only appears in Act 3 at Bonegrave in Bone Bottom.
