Enemy Gauntlets (Silksong)

Enemy Gauntlets are challenges in which Hornet must defeat enemies in order to access a new area, acquire an item, complete a Quest, or simply further the main story of the game. Most enemy gauntlets include multiple waves of enemies, and a select few feature feature a boss, generally as the last wave. Hornet is often, but not always, locked into the arena of the enemy gauntlet after entering, with the exits only opening once the gauntlet is fully completed. There are 48 enemy gauntlets in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Far Fields

Arena Location
Enemy gauntlet in the Skull Cave. Requires Clawline. Hornet begins the gauntlet by striking the explosive Flintflame in the arena. Doing so breaks the floor and leaves 2 platforms floating on lava. Once Hornet defeats the penultimate wave, the lava begins to rise, which can kill the enemies in the Final wave.

If Hornet, an enemy, or a projectile touches a platform, it is destroyed temporarily. If Hornet falls into the lava, she is transported onto an additional temporary platform in the very centre.
