Few creatures of that Silk stricken place would find nourishment enough to grow so large.

Giant Drapemites are enemies in Hollow Knight: Silksong. They are fully-grown Drapemites garbed in old curtains.

Behaviour and Tactics

Giant Drapemites hide underneath piles of cloth, but burst out of the ground and hiss once Hornet gets near. They can move and walk in between attacks, and have 2 moves:

• Wild Swipes: Primes its claws and then lunges forward, slashing wildly in front of itself. Combos Hornet for + if she's hit by the attack. Due to Giant Drapemites often being in very tight areas, dashing backwards is often the only means of not getting hit.
• Retreat: Scuttles backwards a set distance, often used after missing Wild Swipes and when Hornet is close. Note that it does not always do this, and may sometimes immediately perform another Wild Swipes.

Dashing out of their range and then dashing back in to counterattack is often the only strategy available, although Silk Skills and Tools can be used to defeat it from range.

Location

^{[Missing information]} Giant Drapemites can be found in the Citadel. They can be found in High Halls in the Rosary Vault unlocked with a Simple Key and in a tunnel below the room where Hornet can construct the Cogfly. One can also be found in the Whispering Vaults.
