A tragic fate for a once honourable bug. Those void soaked threads... Their physical might is nothing compared to the corruption they wreak upon a soul.

Lost Garmond is a boss in Hollow Knight: Silksong. He is the black-threaded form of Garmond. His defeat is the objective of the Hero's Call wish.

In-Game Events

After Hornet promises the Hero's Call wish, Zaza appears in the Blasted Steps Bellway station. He leads Hornet through the passage below and to the west of the station to a room where Lost Garmond is waiting. When Hornet gets close enough, Lost Garmond roars, signalling the beginning of the fight.

After defeating Lost Garmond, he speaks his final words to Hornet before giving her his Hero's Memento and sitting down, presumably passing away. Afterwards, Zaza remains forever by his side; Zaza will respond to the Needolin, but Garmond will not. If Hornet leaves the room without talking to Garmond, he presumably passes away, leaving the Hero's Memento on his body for Hornet to pick up.

Lost Garmond shuffles slowly after Hornet and can perform the following attacks:

• Hornlance Sweep: If Hornet is close to him, Lost Garmond can stop and swing his hornlance back and forth 6 times in large arcs that cover the space above him and to his sides.
• Quick Jabs: Lost Garmond stabs forwards 3 times in a row, travelling with each jab, pausing a moment before the final, slightly longer, stab. During that pause, he can switch direction for the third stab if Hornet has moved behind him.
• Void Projectiles: Lost Garmond shouts as he turns black and launches 4 slightly arcing void projectiles in Hornet's direction. The first projectile is launched horizontally, with each subsequent one shot at slightly higher angles.
• Corrupted Drop: Lost Garmond makes a tall leap towards Hornet at a set distance. At the apex of the jump, he stabs downwards with his hornlance straight into the ground, which launches 4 arcing Void Blobs to his left and right at the point of impact. Upon hitting the ground, each blob then creates a small circular slash around itself.

As Lost Garmond is black-threaded, all his attacks deal ; the Void blades from Corrupted Drop deal +.

Trivia

• Lost Garmond does not respond to the Needolin.
• Lost Garmond is the only enemy in the game with a black-threaded HP multiplier of 1. This is because he is the only black-threaded enemy to not have a "base form" whose health is multiplied.
• The icon of the achievement depicts Garmond and Zaza instead of Lost Garmond.
• If Hornet leaves the room without speaking to Garmond after his defeat, Garmond will be found dead upon re-entering, with the Hero's Memento lying next to him.
• Lost Garmond's sprites are actually fully coloured, however they're desaturated in-game.
