Mawling
Their rough, ridged shell grips tight to any surface. Even walls and roofs become pathways for these nimble bugs.
Mawlings are enemies in Hollow Knight: Silksong. They are bugs of Pharloom's lowlands capable of rolling themselves around surfaces.
Behaviour and Tactics
Found standing on small platforms. When approached, they roll around the platform, clinging to the sides and bottom, and stop upon returning to their original position. They deal 
upon contact.
As they are often present on very small platforms, it it usually best to attack them from an adjacent platform to avoid being hit by their attack.
Additionally, they take no knockback from any of Hornet's attacks.
Act 3
Black-threaded Mawlings have their health doubled. They gain one of the following attacks:
- Void Blades: The enemy explodes into a circle of blades.
- Void Tendrils: The enemy whips Void tendrils in Hornet's direction.
- Void Projectiles: The enemy launches 3 slightly arcing void projectiles in Hornet's direction.
- Void Drops: The enemy launches 3 arcing Void droplets to the left and right. Upon hitting the ground, each droplet then explodes into a smaller version of the Void Blades attack.

Location
Mawlings can be first found in the eastern section Moss Grotto. They can also be found in the western portion of Weavenest Atla, aswell as the lower section of the Memorium.
