Pilgrim Pouncer

With a softer shell than most, they would have relied on their athleticism to survive.

Pilgrim Pouncers are enemies in Hollow Knight: Silksong. They are agile pilgrims with a softer shell than most, their higher functions lost to the Haunting.[2]
Behaviour and Tactics
Pilgrim Pouncers are usually found slowly walking back and forth or praying in place, but some crawl out of the ground or are reanimated by Silk when Hornet approaches, ambushing her. When Hornet is near, they leap towards her to attack, then roll a short distance on the ground as they land.
If a Pilgrim Pouncer falls off a ledge whilst rolling, it will roll again as it lands.
Act 3
Black-threaded Pilgrim Pouncers have their health quadrupled. They can gain any of the standard void attacks.
Needolin Dialogue
- There is no pain, nor fear, nor death...
- Am I worthy?
- The path... the holy path...
- My soul... my shell. For you!
- My faith... my reward...
- Raise me higher! Pull me closer!
- Lives end, journeys begin...
- Raise my shell! Pull me closer!
- Shining bright, our Citadel waits...
- Pull us higher, ever higher...
- We will climb! Climb! Climb forever!
Haunted Pebb in the easternmost room of the Marrow:
- O shining beads!
- Blessed am I...
- Guide my ascent...
- O holy gleam!
Location
Pilgrim Pouncers can be found primarily in Mosshome and the Marrow, but they also appear in the southeastern Far Fields, the middle of Greymoor, and the Blasted Steps.
In Bonegrave, one Pilgrim Pouncer can appear as a possible enemy spawn variant upon revisiting the area. Inside the Chapel of the Wanderer, one is encountered as part of the gauntlet. In the Marrow, once Swift Step has been acquired, two can be found in the room where Shakra was previously encountered, and one spawns during the gauntlet in the north of the area. Additionally, a unique Pilgrim Pouncer, haunted Pebb, can be encountered in the easternmost room of the Marrow and does not respawn once defeated. Pebb can be identified by her unique Needolin dialogue, her merchant bag lying nearby, and
55 she drops upon defeat.
During Act 3, two Pilgrim Pouncers can be found in Shellwood attacking Pinmaster Plinney.
