Plasmid

Pharloom shall quickly learn the curse of this substance. What benefits it provides can be swiftly outweighed.

Plasmids are enemies in Hollow Knight: Silksong. They are the Plasmified forms of Gromlings.
Behaviour and Tactics
Plasmids burrow out of the ground once Hornet comes near, perform an attack, and then burrow back down and slowly move to a new spot to reappear and attack again. Their movement underground is indicated by dust being kicked up from where they are burrowed. Plasmids have two moves that they choose from indiscriminately:
- Plasmium Spit: Reels for a moment before spitting a gob of plasmium at Hornet, which travels in an arc.
- Charge: Charges towards Hornet, stopping once it reaches an edge or a wall, or Hornet is significantly behind it.
Plasmids deal ![]()
for all attacks as well as contact damage.
Additionally, after a small period of not taking damage, Plasmids rapidly heal themselves at a rate of 5 health every 0.75 seconds.
Location
Plasmids can be found in Wormways during Act 3, particularly on the southern region near the entrance from Bonegrave, replacing most of the Gromlings that were there before.
