Spool Fragments are Items in Hollow Knight: Silksong that are used to increase Hornet's Silk capacity.

Use

Main article: Silk

Two Spool Fragments are combined to form a Spool, which increases Hornet's Silk capacity by 1. There are 18 total Spool Fragments to collect, allowing Hornet to hold 9 additional Silk once all Spool Fragments have been collected, and up to 21 Silk with the Spool Extender.

Completing a Spool will also completely fill Hornet's Silk meter.

How to Acquire

Six Spool Fragments are available in Act 1, allowing for Hornet to hold 3 additional strands of Silk by the Act's completion.

The remaining twelve Spool Fragments can be obtained across Act 2, allowing for a total of 9 additional strands of Silk.

5	In a passage in Weavenest Atla. Ascend the east wall after taking the teleporter into the lower area. Travel west to the first Marrowmaw, jump upwards into the higher passage, navigate past the second Marrowmaw, and drop down to acquire the Fragment	Requires Needolin to open the Weavenest
6	From the Bellway station in The Slab, ascend northwards two levels into a large open room. Wall-climb off the west wall (without entering the west-most chamber), then jump east across the tops of the cages before accessing a passage in the ceiling.
