Eternal Emilitia is an NPC in Hollow Knight. Her room provides access to a shortcut between the City of Tears and the east side of the Royal Waterways.

Lore

Emilitia used to be renowned amongst the upper caste of Hallownest but was at some point cast out by her fellows. While the rest of Hallownest's higher class has died, their bodies walking around mindlessly in the City of Tears, Emilitia managed to survive. This fact brings her great happiness, causing her to laugh to herself constantly in her room.

In-game events

Emilitia can be found in a hidden room in the City of Tears. Her room is first only accessible through a series of hidden walls in the Royal Waterways, but after the door is opened from within it can be re-entered at any point, providing an alternative entrance to the Waterways.

Listening after returning In times past I wouldn't have spoken with your likes, but now the rest of my caste are wonderfully, distantly deceased. If I didn't welcome you I'd never have anyone to share my happiness with. Listening after acquiring the King's Brand Oh... hmm... Could it be? You've returned at last? No. No... Oh pardon me!
