Lumafly is a Mod installer for Hollow Knight. It is a program that downloads allows users to easily install mods and automatically installs dependencies to them that may be needed. This installer also easily allows the player to change between playing the modded game or the original, and many other features.
Features
- Automatically downloads the Modding API which is required for mods to load.
- Loads a list of mods including any that the user has manually installed, as well as everything that is added to the official modlinks, although that can be changed by providing a custom modlinks URI in the settings tab or via a command.
- Search through the 300+ mods available
- Allows narrowing down the search by the mod's tags and authors, also allows searching through mod descriptions and searching by dependency.
- Display mods that were updated or newly released recently (within the last week/month).
- For mods not in official modlinks, Lumafly provides a manually install button which can correctly install it.
- Pin mods by right clicking on a mod to ensure scarab never deletes it.
- Share links that run commands in scarab see commands for more info.
- Open a mod's global settings file to edit its settings.
- Open other important directories, such as the one for Save Files and the folder for the Mods.
How to Use
- Download the latest version.
- Move the installer out of the Downloads folder
- If the version of it that you download is a .zip, then you must extract the files from that.
- If you're on Windows, then you should right-click the installer, and select "Run as Administrator". Otherwise you should be able to just double-click it.
- Select "Mods" at the top.
- Search through and install desired mods.
- When you are ready, you can select "Info" at the top, then select the "Launch Modded" button.
- Note: After launching modded at least once, you can launch the game without the installer, and it will still be modded until you select "Launch Vanilla".
- Mods appear in the top left corner of the game title screen after installation.
- Enable/Disable mods from affecting the game using the toggle and update outdated mods using the orange update button.
- If unable to connect to the internet, Lumafly can be launched in offline mode, although it will have limited functionality.
