Shakra

Fierce and intimidating, Shakra is a warrior seeking her master, who vanished under strange circumstances. Shakra’s clan are skilled fighters who can handle their own in the kingdom’s wilds. Usefully for Hornet, each member of the clan also hones a Craft-Skill and Shakra’s mastery of cartography will prove invaluable on Hornet’s adventure.

Shakra is an NPC first revealed in the Hollow Knight: Silksong announcement trailer. She is a warrior who mastered the Craft-Skill of cartography. Shakra is seeking her master who disappeared.

Shakra makes a single appearance in the announcement trailer; she is shown under the "New Friends" tab. She is standing in a dark grey and foggy cavernous area dotted with large chains, standing next to what appears to be a large structure with visible windows. As Hornet approaches, Shakra lowers into a stance whilst making a loud vocalization.

She was later described in a blog post,[2] noting her as part of a clan of warriors who each hone a "Craft-Skill", with hers being Cartography. It also explains that she is seeking her master, who disappeared under "strange circumstances", while also hinting of her role of aiding Hornet in her journey with her mastery of cartography.

In a later blog post,[3] she was directly confirmed to be the source of mapping tools for Hornet, who will provide charts, compasses, and various other tools.

How she is located in the world is explained to be similar to how Cornifer could be found in Hollow Knight; scattered golden rings signal her presence instead of scattered pages.[4] Furthermore Shakra may end up clashing with Hornet in some circumstances later into the game.[4]
