Great Slash is the Nail Art taught to the Knight by Nailmaster Sheo. By holding ATTACK until fully charged, then releasing ATTACK while neither dashing nor holding UP/DOWN, the Knight performs a powerful slash that inflicts 2.5x Nail damage. The slash reaches slightly farther than an attack enhanced by both the Longnail and Mark of Pride Charms, while also extending slightly below the Knight and reaching a full Knight's height above.
Because of its ability to inflict a large amount of damage in a short period of time, Great Slash can be capitalised upon when continuous attacks are hard to execute, such as against foes with small windows of vulnerability (e.g. Soul Twister). It can also be used in place of Spells against staggered bosses to deal a greater amount of damage than a regular slash. With its large range that extends above the Knight, Great Slash is especially effective against flying enemies.
How To Perform
Hold ATTACK until fully charged, then release without pressing UP/DOWN or dashing. Deals 2.5x Nail damage.
If this is the only Nail Art that has been learned, Great Slash is executed regardless of the direction being held but not while the Knight is dashing.
Damage Values
Great Slash damage is not affected by Fragile Strength/
Unbreakable Strength. Its range is also not affected by Mark of Pride or Longnail.
