Hidden Dreams is the first of the three free content packs planned for Hollow Knight.[1] It was announced on June 7th, 2017[2] and released on August 3rd, 2017.[3]
This update added two boss fights with varying difficulty levels. It also brought the first major quality of life changes to the game including a Stag Station and a fast travel mechanic.

Changes
- Essence is now obtainable from killing enemies
- Dream Wielder now increases the likelihood of this happening by 50%
- Removed toll gate in Deepnest
- Revek now becomes hostile and attacks if a Spirit in Spirits' Glade is Dream Nailed
- Nosk gained two new attacks
- Increased damage for Flukenest and Glowing Womb
- Buffs to Cyclone Slash including increased size and reduced knockback
