Hopping Zotelings are enemies in Hollow Knight, introduced in the Hidden Dreams update. They are the products of Bretta's imagination.[1]
Behaviour and Tactics
Falls from above and hops towards the Knight in a very tall arc. It has very low health, but since multiple can quickly become a distraction, it is recommended to kill it as fast as possible with a simple Nail strike or by using a Spell such as Vengeful Spirit/Shade Soul to strike both it and the boss simultaneously.

Location
Hopping Zotelings are spawned by Grey Prince Zote after beating him at least once. The boss must be defeated to earn the Hopping Zoteling's Journal entry, but the Hopping Zoteling does not have to actually appear.
They are also present in the 
Eternal Ordeal.
