Lesser Mawleks are enemies in Hollow Knight. They are fast-moving creatures with many teeth and sharp foreclaws who spit acid at targets.[1][2]
Behaviour and Tactics
Spits orange blobs of acid at the Knight from a distance that linger on the floor for 1.25-1.75 seconds. Once close enough, it winds up its leg for a swipe to deal melee damage.
The best tactic is to keep close to it to prevent it from spitting projectiles and dodge its telegraphed swipe while attacking either by jumping and down-striking it or using a Nail Art.

Location
They can be found in the Ancient Basin, just west of the Tram, where Cloth can be met for the third time. They can also be found in the Colosseum of Fools, during the 12th wave of the Trial of the Fool.
