I used to think these things were merely ambling plants. When I learned they were actually living creatures, I began to kill them on sight. This is the nature of the Hunt!
Mosscreeps are enemies in Hollow Knight. They camouflage themselves with leaves and hide from danger amongst the undergrowth.[1][2]
Behaviour and Tactics
Hides in greenery until the Knight approaches. Once approached they shuffle about in their bush before rising up and wandering back and forth.

Trivia
- The Mosscreep is one of the few enemies that respawns upon leaving and re-entering the room.
- There is a glitch where, if the Knight opens the Map while a Mosscreep is moving upside-down towards the edge of a platform, it continues moving, off the platform and through the air.
