Sharp Baldur
Hardened baldur, bred for battle in the Colosseum of Fools. Tougher and more aggressive than its wild ancestor. These creatures... I have never seen one fully grown. I suppose they aren't allowed to live long enough to become adults. |
Sharp Baldurs are enemies in Hollow Knight. They are juvenile Baldurs with a plated shell who were bred to fight in the Colosseum of Fools.[1][2]
Behaviour and Tactics
Behaves like normal Baldurs; curling into a ball and rolling towards the Knight, then continuing to bounce off walls for a short time afterwards. The only difference is that Sharp Baldurs have more health.
One tactic for fighting them is attacking them from the front as they roll, because the knockback they receive is enough to keep them out of reach. Using the Quick Slash Charm is useful for keeping this up.
They sometimes pause after hitting a wall, giving time to Focus.

Trivia
- The Sharp Baldur, unlike the regular Baldur, does not have an Elder counterpart. This is pointed out by the Hunter in his journal, who supposes they may not live long enough to reach adult age.
