Large, docile creature that peacefully buzzes around in the caverns of Kingdom's Edge.

Too slow to escape you and too large to hide from you. This prey will not challenge you, but sometimes it is good to take things easy.

Booflies are enemies in Hollow Knight. They are hovering, docile bugs who peacefully float around in Kingdom's Edge.[1][2]

Behaviour and Tactics

Floats passively and does not retaliate when attacked. Often found in platforming sections, where its massive bulk blocks the way and makes platforming more difficult. However, Nail-bouncing on it can sometimes help with traversing through these difficult platforming sections more easily.

Trivia

  • When they die their body keeps falling until it hits the ground, where it explodes. This is also accompanied by an effect that slightly shakes the screen.
