Garpedes are enemies in Hollow Knight. They are thickly armoured creatures who burrow through the rocky tunnels of Deepnest.[1][2]
Behaviour and Tactics
These enormous centipedes travel Deepnest, crawling through narrow corridors in predictable patterns. Because they are invulnerable, they effectively act as hazards rather than enemies.
It is possible to Nail-bounce on their bodies. This is required to get a Vessel Fragment in Deepnest.
A few Garpedes are also part of the Trial of the Fool in the Colosseum of Fools. Just like in Deepnest, they cannot be killed.

Location
Garpedes are located in Deepnest and in the Colosseum of Fools. To fill out their Hunter's Journal entry, the body of a dead Garpede must be inspected. It is located near the very bottom of Deepnest, southeast of the Hot Spring, in a hidden area immediately west of the entrance to the room containing the Sharp Shadow Charm.
