Make their homes all the way up at the top of the world. Do they use the crystals willingly as weapons or are they merely hosts and the crystals parasites?

Crystal Hunters are enemies in Hollow Knight. They use their crystalline growths to fire crystals at intruders.[1]

Behaviour and Tactics

Hovers in the air, usually out of melee range, shooting a crystalline projectile at the Knight that turns into a cluster of crystals when it makes contact with a surface. These clusters dissipate after a short period of time but can otherwise easily be broken with a Nail strike, and can be Nail-bounced on.

Unless the Knight is directly below them, they tend to miss their attacks as they launch them with a short delay. Jump up and slash at them while they are preparing their next attack.

Trivia

  • Their crystal shot can be deflected with a Nail strike, but the projectile still passes through enemies.
