Husk Hive
 Did the hivelings build their nest around this sorry bug, or did the bug squeeze its body into their nest? Either way, they seem happy enough together.  |
Husk Hives are enemies in Hollow Knight. These husks have merged their bodies with small hives, carrying Hivelings around who protect them.[1]
Behaviour and Tactics
When engaged, it flees from the Knight, even jumping up onto platforms if its way is blocked. If cornered, it leaps a short but high distance in the Knight's direction and deals contact damage, much like a Gluttonous Husk. It occasionally spawns a single Hiveling and spawns three of them upon death.
A well-timed Cyclone Slash Nail Art near the Husk Hive can kill it and the Hivelings it spawns after death all at once.

Trivia
- With the Hiveblood Charm equipped, Husk Hives do not run from the Knight, deal damage on contact, or summon Hivelings, however, they still retaliate when attacked.
- The Hivelings spawned upon death are always hostile to the Knight, whether or not Hiveblood is equipped.
