Young fungal creature. Spends most of its time in the ground but can uproot and flee if it senses danger.

Looks like an ordinary mushroom until you get close, then it pops out of the ground and starts scurrying around blindly. Very, very amusing.

Shrumelings are enemies in Hollow Knight. They are defenceless young fungal creatures who spend most of their time in the ground, blindly running away when threatened.[1][2]

Behaviour and Tactics

Stationary, but flees once approached. Does not have any attacks, deals no contact damage and dies in one hit. A useful source of free SOUL.
