- During development, a NPC was conceptualized that would appear in the background of Mighty Hegemol's arena that had an appearance reminiscent of that of members of the Mosskin Tribe, referencing mossbag, a Hollow Knight youtuber & lore enthusiast who worked for Pale Court as the voice actor of Mighty Hegemol. The idea of having moving bugs in the background of Hegemol's arena stuck and was reworked into a scenery depicting Hallownest before the Infection broke out, bustling with activity.
