The Abyssal Temple is an area accessible in Hollow Knight while playing with the Pale CourtMod. It can be accessed by breaking the new breakable wall and using the Monarch Wings in the Void Tendrils imprint room within The Abyss. It features a fairly large platforming section that, when completed, rewards the Knight with the Abyssal Bloom charm. To complete this platforming challenge, the Dashmaster charm is required, since some of the Spiked Shade Gates are angled horizontally, requiring a downward dash using the Shade Cloak to pass.
Tips
It is recommended to bring charms that help regain Masks, since the Abyssal Temple features only a few Soul Totems and no benches. Charms such as Grubsong (+ Grubberfly's Elegy), Deep Focus and Hiveblood are very effective, since there are no threats apart from the environment within the Abyssal Temple.
Quick Slash may prove to be a nice charm to have, since it's attack speed increase allows for more precise nail-bounces.
Some of the sections require the Knight to nail-bounce off of the sides of spikes. To do this, the Knight must get very close to the spikes so that the hitbox of the nail barely hits it. It is recommened to use the Monarch Wings to clear as much of the vertical distance as possible to reduce the risk of accidentally getting too close to the spikes.
Charms that increase the nail's reach such as Longnail and Mark of Pride may prove useful in some of the areas. The range-increase doesn't come into play very often, however, since most of the parcouring challenge occurs within tight corridors. In some instances, the additional range may even prove detrimental when used incorrectly.
